Potter’s House Women Fellowship International is a Christ-centered ministry made up of women from diverse denominations, cultures, countries, professions, and walks of life. We are united by a shared commitment to knowing, experiencing, and serving God — the source of our fulfillment.
In our journey of service, we ensure that every member of the family is carried along. As a result, we have created platforms for our husbands, children, youths, and singles to be equipped and empowered to serve God as well.
We organize a wide range of programs including women empowerment initiatives, human and community development projects, career and skill acquisition training, family enrichment programs, and other services that add value and uplift humanity.
Our History
Potter’s House Women Fellowship International began in 1983 in the living room of the visionary’s father’s house in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. What started as a small prayer gathering of young single women has grown into a global fellowship of praying Christian women.
Founding members — Christy Uche (the visionary), Christy Okonkwo, Mum Glory Aaron, Victoria Francis, and Ethel Emenike — have since become exemplary mothers and grandmothers, continuing to lead with faith and wisdom.
Our Work
We are committed to equipping, discipling, and empowering women to become servant leaders, worshippers, homemakers, and people of integrity across every sphere of life. Our mission extends to raising godly grandmothers and nurturing healthy relationships within homes and communities.
We actively reach out to the poor, widows, and vulnerable individuals in society. Our initiatives include:
- Offering scholarships and youth empowerment (especially for the girl child)
- Training in practical skills for self-reliance
- Feeding street dwellers and clothing widows
- Organizing seminars on self-development and financial empowerment
- Teaching home economics to help women manage domestic responsibilities with ease
Mission Activities
We host two international conferences annually, both called Gethsemane — one in the North (May) and one in the East (August). Additionally:
- We hold a yearly retreat for all members.
- A dedicated workers’ retreat takes place every January.
- Each state chapter organizes its own annual conferences and seminars.
