OUR SUCCESS STORY
Potter’s house women fellowship international came to be as a result of prevailing challenges facing women immediately after marriage. Sister after wedding become so weak irrespective of her spiritual height before marriage, living the Christian life becomes a struggle, the woman’s gift of the Holy Spirit buried, joy and excitement of marriage disappeared and replaced by worry and anxiety. This is due to stress/pressure from her new environment, unexpected and unprepared events and experience like barrenness, poverty, hatred from in-law, series of abortion, sickness, constant disagreement with husband, unexpected behavior from spouse, abandonment and so on in her new home thereby eating her spiritual life to a state of almost giving up or backsliding. She now struggles to be happy in order to maintain her effectiveness and efficiency at home, church, place of work, career and relationships, life is filled with awe, complaining, murmuring and regrets. These slow down her pace, relational thinking, creativity and general performance. The man due to sudden change in the life of their wives see them as devils, wicked set of creatures and totally misunderstood the uniqueness of womanhood as ordained by God. At a certain stage, they add salt to injury by making things more difficult for the woman. The woman is left with tears, pain and confusion.
This became a heavy burden in the heart of the visionary. She started praying and gradually her friends joined her one after another until they become great army of David, they poured their hearts unto God to stop the evil and deliver their generation from these storms of life and make a way out of these ugly situations. Our hunger and prayers were to escape the snare, increase in the love for God, increase in anointing and grace even after marriage, run beautiful and peaceful homes, raise godly children, support our husbands financially and otherwise, become a fulfilled and satisfied woman, yet serve God effectively. The burden has enlarged and grew from one phase to another till date.
The potter’s house women fellowship international has given birth to NGO (Non Governmental Organisation) called vision of Nigerian Women in Leadership. This arm takes care of educating and training of women in leadership, position of influence, and wives of those men in governance, places and offices of influence in the society in other to exact positive influence. Other arms of the fellowship are Potter’s House Children, youth and singles fellowship and men forum.The Potter’s House Women Fellowship, is registered in Nigeria as a non governmental and non denominational organization.
